Pet Hospital Opens 1,000th Hospital to Provide Optimum Health Services

Banfield President Brian Garish will be joined by the local veterinary team for a public event to honor the milestone at Banfield’s 1,000th hospital, located at 1010 Murfreesboro Road, Suite 162, Franklin, TN. Local residents are invited to attend the 9 a.m. ribbon cutting and participate in subsequent grand-opening festivities, including hospital tours.

 “Banfield Pet Hospital is more than a business, it’s a place our associates come to live their purpose and passion, and our clients trust us with the care of their beloved pets,” said Brian Garish, President of Banfield Pet Hospital. “I am incredibly proud of all Banfield has accomplished since the first practice opened more than 60 years ago – and that we’ve grown by our principles to this 1,000th hospital opening.”

ViiV Expands Optimum Health Literacy and Outcomes to HIV Youth

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., Aug. 10 /CSRwire/ - ViiV Healthcare announced today it will award six new grants designed to help improve the lives of young people living with HIV through its Positive Action for Youth program. The program, which builds on ViiV Healthcare’s ongoing youth-focused programming and outreach, is a two-year, $1 million grant commitment in U.S. mentorship programs for youth aged 13–24 living with HIV as they enter and begin to navigate adult care.

Recent research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicates that youth living with HIV in the U.S. have gaps in care due to a lack of knowledge and skills to maneuver through the HIV care continuum, where it is estimated that approximately one-third of youth did not link to care within one month of HIV diagnosis — the lowest rate for any age group.1
